Why I love iTunes

Doubts not withstanding (c.f.) I really like iTunes. The interface is superb, and the shuffle play is, frankly intelligent. I mean anything that can program “Anybody Out There” by Pink Floyd, to be followed by Patti Smith’s “Birdland” must have an understanding of music that is deeper than Artist/Genre/bpm. And that is not the only example. It seems to put Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson together more often than is happenstance, and I have them in seperate categories. Far too frequently it’ll throw together great combinations of tracks. So, Mr Jobs, how the frell does it do that?
