I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Listening For
It cannot have escaped your attention that U2 are releasing a new studio record. They seem to have taken over the BBC for the whole of the weekend (Hey Auntie! Whatever happened to “undue prominence”?). This evening they played a 20 minute set from the roof of the BBC in Portland Place, Regent Street, London, and jolly good it was too.
The new recording “No Line On The Horizon” sounds like the follow up to “The Joshua Tree”, which was released 22 years (or two sunspot cycles) ago. Same anthemic songs, same ringing guitars, same driving rhythms. Same great record.
