First Light

Due to our “normal” winter, the Snowdrops have been later in appearing this year, and are in fact, coinciding with the first crocuses. So Saturday found me lying on a plastic sheet, macro lens attached to my camera in the first bit of warm almost spring-like sun we have seen for a while.

  1. The iris – the prettiest of the harbingers! I’m inspired now to walk up to the local park where the native irises bloom in a small wild wood.

Snowdrops are so pretty. I wonder if they would grow in the temperate and arid Bay Area?

  2. Apparently they can be grown in Nashville http://tinyurl.com/ahyj58
