Turbocharging Firefox
Twitter has it’s uses. I knew that you can alter Firefox’s settings through the about:config page, and in fact had altered some of the settings for memory usage and cache size to improve the performance on my machine. So I responded to a tweet from a fellow twitter who was thinking of moving away from Firefox because he found it too slow, after upgrading to v3. I did a quick Google to see if there was a more comprehensive set of tuning tips and ran across this website. It’s a bit fiddly to set all of the settings, but boy what an improvement! I just need to see if I can script changing the settings so I can easily apply them to my customers’ computers.
