Life On Mars (continued)

It is expected that later today NASA will announce the discovery of plumes of methane gas on Mars. While there are abiotic processes that can produce methane, it may also be a by-product of biological processes. (On earth some microbes produce methane).

Up till now, NASA has been “following the water” on Mars in the search for evidence of past or present life on Mars. Maybe it is time for a switch in focus, and the delay of the Mars Science Laboratory, may allow the scientist to re-target their investigations.

Lets hope it turns out to be Spider Farts.

One Response to “Life On Mars (continued)”

  1. Oh the punchline … as I read above I was mentally crafting a pithy comment about men sitting on a sofa drinking beer and eating chips while watching football, but you have beat me to it.
