Oliver Postgate

Englishmen (and women) of a certain age will surely shed a tear at the news of the passing of Oliver Postgate.  The man behind a string of influential TV programmes such as Noggin The Nog, Ivor The Engine, Bagpuss and of course his Magnum Opus, The Clangers.

Showing that story was more important than technical acomplishment, he influenced a generation of film makers (e.g. Nick Park) and TV viewers. Here’s the proof.
