Doggone
Well, She’s gone. The girl who used to bounce with happiness when I walked through the door, who followed me around the house, who snuggled me when I sat down, who licked my toes, who walked through the sunlit autumn woods with me, and who cried when I left her alone, who slept under my chair, has gone home.
Nana is back in The Big City and I don’t have to watch where I put my feet, I can go to the loo without being followed, and there are no biscuits hidden behind doors and under furniture. No blond hairs on the sofa and no muddy paw prints on the floor.
She’s gone home to Mummy.
As I sit here writing my furry friend Sadie is napping behind me, loyal as always. When I am at work I sometimes look at my cell phone – I have a picture of her there. When I fret over the stress of my job, I sometimes remember that I work to keep her well groomed and stocked with kibble.
I hope Nana returns soon.
Hmm sounds like Nana needs a cousin if you ask me… yers we do believe so – least then it can capture the spiders 🙂
I bet you miss her… and I second that she needs a buddy to come play with. Maybe you do too!
