Breathe
Well it has come to this: Me, JJ Cale, the local blackbird and the New Moon accompanied by a cheeky South African red from the Elephant River.
The blackbird is perched on the apex of the roof, proclaiming his possession of the territory while New Moon looks down, aloof. JJ is noodling around in Tiajuana, and the cheeky South African was liberated from Morrisons for only £4.50, and is tasting twice as expensive.
At this time of year we have light till ten PM; it’s been a warm day peaking at a comfortable 76, and fortunately, the neighbours have been conspicuously quiet (must all be living under an asbo). Waiting to see if he bats come out to play, but all I can see flying are the Stag Beetles. Scent of philadelphus and honeysuckle in the air. Time for Sweet baby James on the ‘pod, I think.
Update: 10:10 and the bats are out.
Phew I had to think twice for a second there for I was once liberated of my sanity at that very store, Morrisons! Glad you have good taste in wine 😉
