Masterpeice

Previously on Ravings from the Shell we have discussed favourite movies (here and here). However it has become glaringly obvious that there has been a terrible omission that it is my duty to correct. The film of which I speak is Kill Bill (Vol 1) directed by Quentin Tarantino. When the history of film making s written, i am sure, nay convinced, that this magnificent opus will be seen not only as Quentin’s masterpiece, but as a masterpice of cinematic history to rank alongside films such as The Third Man and 2001: A Space Odyessy. Every frame is perfect, every shot precise, not a line of dialogue nor a bar of music is wasted. It is in fact to movie making, what Dark Side of the Moon is to music. In a word, it is perfection. If you happen to read this and your name is Quentin, please do not be discouraged. Go on, make (many) more films, but this is your Layla, your Stairway To Heaven.
