Can I change my mind?

Back in a previous post, I listed four movies that I watch over and over again. There was an omission. However, to correct it I’d have to drop one of the listed films, this is not possible, so Film 3.001 will be added. It is “Alien” directed by Ridley Scott. Now pedants may gripe that this means that there are now more than four items in that section, however “What is four?” If a surf-punk can re-define physics, why cannot I re-define mathematics?

Alien shares a lot with another of my listed films, 2001:A Space Odyssey. Both have large spaceships, malfunctioning artificial life forms, sleeping astronauts, a slighty more realistic approach to the realities of space travel, and a hidden agenda from the people who sent them out there. Alien, as I have just realised, also homages 2001 with brief snatches of waltz music (and the long corridors, shots of spacesuit helmets)
